Abstract : The extensive debates concerning intellect have led some thinkers to extend the outcomes of unrelated disputes into the realm of discussions on intellect and religion. This study aims to distinguish between lexical, ontological, and functional disputes regarding intellect and, consequently, to determine which type of disagreement can influence the discourse on intellect and religion.
