Abstract: This study analyzes the role of Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK) in banking sector supervision in Indonesia, as well as the legal issues faced by OJK in carrying out its supervisory functions. The supervision of the banking sector faces increasingly complex challenges, particularly with regard to the development of banking technology, including fintech and digital banking. This paper also identifies legal solutions that can be implemented to address these challenges, such as the improvement of supervisory policies, regulatory updates, and increased collaboration with relevant institutions. Using a qualitative approach based on literature review, this study suggests that OJK accelerate regulatory updates and strengthen inter-institutional cooperation to optimize the supervision of the banking sector.
